The classic 43mm case frames the shiny white dial, which is graphically divided into quadrants. The bold Roman numerals from 1 to 12 are arranged in a spiral towards the center. Though moving a bit faster than usual, the central, meticulously heat-blued hand still rotates at a leisurely pace.
The stainless steel case is 43 mm in diameter, water-resistant up to 5 bar, and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. The movement can be easily viewed through the sixfold screwed glass exhibition back as it performs its high-precision task.
The Franklin Edition is powered by an ETA/Unitas 6498, modified for the 4-hour concept, with a power reserve of 46 hours. The see-through case back allows one to observe the movement, originally designed for pocket watches. The impressive movement, with its sunburst-finished wheels, blued screws, and a bridge decorated with Geneva stripes, fascinates every mechanical watch enthusiast.

De Amerikaan Benjamin Franklin was een multitalent: hij was een begaafd politicus en schrijver, en verder boekdrukker, uitvinder en moralist. Hij staat bekend als een van de Founding Fathers van de Verenigde Staten. Samen met onder anderen George Washington (1732-1799) en Alexander Hamilton (1757-1804) stelde hij de Amerikaanse Onafhankelijkheidsverklaring (1776) op en schreef hij mee aan de Amerikaanse grondwet.
